Within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem property tax system in Texas, as well as information regarding specific properties within the district. Somervell County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Somervell County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).
Somervell County Appraisal District is responsible for the fair market appraisal of properties within each of the following taxing entities. The District strictly adheres to the Texas Property Tax Code to provide equality and accurate assessments for its constituents and tax base.

Glen Rose Medical Hospital District
The following property taxes are collected by districts other than Somervell CAD. All tax related questions should be directed to the district who collects for that entity.
Walnut Springs ISD – Collected by Bosque CAD
Three-Way ISD – Collected by Erath CAD
Granbury ISD – Collected by Hood CAD
Mineral properties in Somervell County are appraised by Pritchard and Abbott, Inc.
